Did you know that to have a successful application of whiteboard paint, you need to carry out some prep work first? This includes:
1. smoothing your wall with sandpaper to make certain that your finished whiteboard surface can be successfully written on and removed
2. thoroughly cleaning the sanded surface to guard against issues such as lifting off of the base paint
3. masking off the parts of the wall surface where you don't intend to use the base paint
4. applying 2 layers of base paint to guarantee a completely opaque surface for your whiteboard paint application
5. allowing the base paint completely dry for at least 1 day
